Q: How can I confirm if I am allowed to have an INshed at my property?
A: To ensure compliance, check local zoning regulations, building codes, and reach out to your local building department for guidance on required permits.
Q: What do I need to do to prepare my property for my INshed’s arrival?
A: Before delivery, ensure you have a level and reinforced surface for your INshed. If needed, we can discuss site preparation during our free introductory consultation call.
Q: How about plumbing and electric hookups?
A: Plumbing and electrical requirements vary based on intended use. Verify local building codes, consult licensed professionals, and obtain necessary permits prior to construction. INsheds comes with a 50 amp electrical hookup, and typical plumbing requires a 3″ PVC waste pipe & 1/2″ pex waterline hookup.
Q: How do I get my INshed placed on my selected site?
A: For sites accessible by a truck, we’ll wheel your shed into place. If you have narrow access, we may need a crane to lift the shed. Don’t worry, we’ll assist you in planning the best approach.
Q: How does payment and order processing work?
A: Upon contract execution, we require a 30% deposit. An invoice for an additional 50% will be sent within 30 days. The remaining balance is due before shipping.
Q: What is your shipping policy?
A: Shipping is billed at $3.00 per mile from our factory location at: Elgin, IL 60124 to your delivery location. We offer shipping anywhere in the continental United States and will work with you to arrange convenient delivery and installation.
Q: What are payment options?
A: We accept credit cards, e-checks (ETF – electronic transfer of funds), or cashier’s checks. Please note that there is a 3% charge for credit card processing.
Q: Do you offer financing?
A: While we don’t offer financing directly, there are several options available to finance the purchase of your accessory dwelling unit or modern shed. We recommend exploring home improvement loans, home equity loans, and personal loans. Take the time to research and find the best financing option that suits your needs and budget.
Q: What is your return and refund policy?
A: Deposit returns must be requested in writing within seven days of placing your order. After seven days, all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued. In the event of a change in circumstances, we’re happy to assist in marketing and reselling your completed order.
